Went to a gun show this weekend and picked up a rail and hand grip of an AR. The inside of the Choat pistol grip stock has a gap in the stock. The stock liner does not set flush on the stock. It rides of edges that stick out around on the inside. All I did was place the rail on the out side where I wanted it. Marked the holes. Drilled them out. Used the hardware that came with the rail and in about 10 min I had the grip in place. I like how the rifle handles with the grip. I wish I had a dig. camera to place a few picks of it. But it can be easly done and it ran me about $40.00. I'm now on one for my B.C. folder.

Good question cajungeo. I am a network newz camera man. I shoot TV video. I have worked for CBS, ABC, Fox, CNN, ESPN, 48 Hours and so on. In my younger days I would work for who ever payed me. I am slowing down now. I no longer jump out of choppers or go into burning houses. I guess I should have made it clear. I have 3 cameras. One cost $20,000, the 2nd went for $10,000 and the 3rd is the cheap one at $8,000. you would think I would have a $300.00 dig. still camera, wouldn't ya???? I need to work on that. As for the pick you sent, its of a scope mount and I was talking about a front hand grip. Is there another pic I missed or something? And again, thanx for all the good work you do here. And I'll work on getting a camera : )

Sorry about the mistaken pic. Sounds like you have an interesting career.

I wouldn't worry about rushing out to buy a new camera. Before I bought my new one last weekend, I'd take my 35mm film to walmart, they put it on a CD for 4 bucks and some change. It comes with software to crop, size etc. Before that I used my scanner, and scanned photos. Kind of grainy, but good enough. As soon as I learn to use my new camera I will replace my gallery pics.

Yeah, I have had some fun. Did a lot of work with the fun in 91 with the knot head we are dealing with now. Being around Ft. Bragg kept us busy. If you saw any of the video awhile back when the F-16 crashed into a jump stick on the ground or when the nut ball sniper opened up on the troops as they where doing PT in the AM, you saw some of my work. And when James Jordan was killed, I was all over the dial with that one. Did some door kicking and blowing up some cool stuff. Ever see how high a car hood can go when you place 12 pounds of C-4 under it. Remember, a hood does not have a good shape to fly. But we had one that took 6 sec to come back down. But like I said before. I'm slowing down now. But I have some great stories.
