i've seen, but can no longer find, the flush mounted
flash hiders with the HK style ring sight.

It's not what Choate's churning out now.

I'm looking for the ones that resemble an M14 FH,
no lug, and when its mounted - it almost looks flush
with the barrel.

Anyone recall the manufacturer or know where to procure one?

I think that is the replacement for what i'm looking for.

What I've seen but can't find anywhere is much longer,
more slender and very round - no edges.

I almost looks like "one" with the barrel when installed.

The only way it could have the same outside diameter as the barrel is to be threaded on or welded on. If it slips over the barrel it will have to have a step for material thickness.

The one you may be looking for is by Dakota Precision and can be found on the bottom of page 39 on Deltaforce.com on-line catalog.

It looks just like the Eagle but appears not to have the edges.
