First Mini-14?

I found you guys by accident. THIS IS GREAT!!! I have learned a lot in just a couple of weeks. What Mini should be my first? I have reloaded for many years, mostly revolver calibers. I own a couple of Ruger 10-22T's Mostly for close in gopher blasting with Stingers. (Under 100 yards) but I want more power. (Is that bad?

I can't decide. HELP ME!!!
P.S.
The way the geniuses keep legislating away our rights I decided to purchase a Mini-14 now while they are still available. The idea of some idiot eliminating a whole class of guns with a stroke of a pen makes me ill.

I do not own a Dan Wesson .41

I wish I had picked up the ones for sale at a local dealer at rock bottom close out prices years ago. But of course, back then, I knew everything. And anything less than a .44 mag was not for REAL Men

I now own a Blue 4" M57 made in 1969, and a 6" Nickel M57 made in 1981. They shoot a lot better than I can.
I have wondered about that fold up sight on the Ranch Rifle. It just does not look real sturdy. And since Most of my shooting will be under 100yds, I am leaning towards the standard.
Come on guys give me more

Thanks cajungeo! The search is giving me plenty to work with. Of course if money was no object I would buy each variety of Mini-14
just in the interest of science
