And it did pretty well, all things considered. I was using Remington UMC 55 grain for most of the time and some Wolf 55 grains as well. It was a clear day, about 60*. I set up my first target at 50 yards, loaded up, and used irons first (Ranch). Five shots later, I take a look through my binoculars and it had fired every bullet through one big hole! I thought this was a flook so I tried it again, this time moving to my upper left target (this was a piece of paper that had 5 targets on it, one big in the center, and 4 little ones in each corner). 5 shots later, I take another look and agian, all in one big hole! My irons were perfet. I swiched to my Tasco Silver Antler 3-9x, and i repeated the feet again. I stopped to run a boresnake through my barrel, then moved to my 100 yard target. This is were it gets interesting. I fire my 5 shots, then try to see those tiny .22(3) size holes. I couldn't, even through 20x binoculars. So I had to wait for the next line brake, and meanwhile I go to plinking metal targets. The 150 yard 12" gong was no problem. After I had expended 20 or so rounds on it, the line brake was called. I practically sprinted down there, and to my surprise and shock I see a target that was a little odd. I had grouped 4 of the shots in about a 4 inch group, but the 5th shot was a flyer that expanded my group size to 8 inches
I think this was more my fault than anything else- I probably changed my POI a little. So now I'm just waitng to get my muzzle brake in, hopefully that will shrink the groups. I'm also pondering bedding, a Hogue stock, and a gas port bushing. Overall I'm very happy with my new Mini. It was pretty easy to strip down and clean, and I had only one malfunction: Sometimes, the bolt would not close all the way, so I would cycle the action, and it wouldn't eject the first round, and I wold get a double feed. This happened several times, and I finally figured out what it was- I had been babying the bolt forward, and I had just needed to let it slam.
P.S. Wolf stinks- literally!
