Would someone who has a factory folder e-mail me a few close-up pictures of the moving parts of the folding stock joint from several perspectives. I am thinking of maybe making a folder from a standard factory wooden take-off, and would like to see how Ruger did it. I need to get a mill first, so I might be a year or so out of making it. Right now I am working on the design, but do not have access to a folder for comparison. Thanks, Theo

Make sure to check you local laws. Otherwise you may want to use some of that time to garther tips how to behave in prison. :(

I am in California, where it in not illegal to buy or own a folding stock, as long as there is no semi-automatic centerfire rifle in it. If it is a complete rifle then it would have had to be registered as an assault weapon before 01 Jan 2000, otherwise it would be illegal. You may ask what the point of making one is, and the point is that I will be in another state before this year has ended and free from this totalitarian communist infestation of liberals. I am not quite sure about laws regarding manufacture of a new folding stock, though, so I will need to check that out. The commercial folders are sold all over the place out here. Thank you for your concern, I do not want to figure out how best to spend my time in jail either.
