Anybody here at the vision correction surgery? I'm going in for my evaluation appointment on the 9th of next month to see if they think they can fix mine (extreme near sightedness, 20/400 without glasses) and am wondering what to expect.

The Feds. recently got on the laser surgery outfits for failing to warn people there is a chance of bad results. I would get a second and third opinion from eye doctors not affiliated with the people who would be doing the surgery. Once done, it cannot be undone.

A guy at work got it done about 7 years ago before it was legal in the U.S. He had to go to Canada to get it done. He had worn Coke bottle thick glasses since he was 8 yr. old. It took about 4 or 5 months for the eyes to fully heal, and adjust. He didn't have to wear glasses any more.

My mom had cateracts, They did one eye. She says she can't believe all the color she can now see, so she wants the other eye done so she can see that well out of both. She said it only took about 10 min.
