Has anyone had any experiance with the extended mag release from TheArms Room, in Colorado. The picture shows it to be longer than standard, from the pivot hole down, but what about from the hole up.

Airman. The fella that makes the latches is a member on the boards here, his handle is Hadaway. As far as I know he's the only person that is making the extended latch. The quality looks very good on his products. Federal Ordnance used to make extended latches years ago, but they're out of business. You can do a search under latch or catch and might come up with some old posts. I have a couple of old extended Federal catches and prefer them over the short factory latches.

Thanks for the input guys, I have a problem trying to change mags in a hurry, so I may just send for one of these anyway.

You'll like it. I've had a Fed. Ord latch for years and just got one of Lee Hadaways. Like night and day with mag changes. Mini mags are slow to change anyway, this gives you a little extra that comes it handy. They're made to the correct length and I'd never go back to the old shorty latches. It comes with a 'slave' pin to hold the spring in place as you install it. Nice product!
