the combat roll makes you an uncommon target. Most enemies that say would easily hit you are the ones most likely to miss. How the combat roll works is that you are already behind another piece of cover to move to another piece of cover or blind pathway to flank your enemy before they even realized someone was moving.

S.T.A.R.S. Zombie Defense Firearms Training - YouTube 2:15 in this video shows core elements of head shot evasion maneuvers.

Since the head is the most critical target in combat its what you want to protect most. And we will all agree that dodging bullets is the best option.

So why not make your head the most difficult thing to hit if you have to move behind cover while getting shot at. At this video Syphon Filter 2 (Hard Mode) - Mission 8: C-130 Crash Site - YouTube 5:42, here we can see the effectiveness of these maneuvers into action.

Also, here is where we see the russian special forces attempt to imitate the same maneuvers while maintaining a kneeling position. (Much less effective for evasive tactics) Bizon submachinegun - YouTube

Why is this coming up again?? XYYYYYLLLLOOOOOBBBBBB!!!!!!!
Its not, this is my argument on behalf of the Combat Rolls effectiveness.

Such I am making my point, In full that my skills in the combat roll maneuvers will not hurt, but will indeed help me in a SHTF scenario whenever that maneuver may need to be performed.

Interesting points, but I have some doubts about it's true effectiveness.

1. Could you provide any statistics to prove that most are likely to miss? Or are you simply speculating?

2. People are commonly trained to aim for center mass. By tucking and rolling you are placing your most critical target in the general vicinity of the point of aim. How or Why is this more effective than simply moving from point A to B as quickly as possible?

Thanks.
Well gunshow thats an excellent point. Since that maneuver may be necessary to move from point a to point b as quickly as possible, it actually allows you to recover out of it the way you want to recover. Either to a spirit, dive etc. Statistically it can be proven by saying that a movoing target is more difficult to hit than a still target. thus if your head remains on the same height on the ground, and just moves to the side, it can be much easier to hit. Actually in the roll you are stretched out which presents an odd target. I used videos to prove how even computer aimed guns ahve trouble shooting a rolling target. food for thought

I served as an MP and let me tell you, the "Tuck & Roll" tactic was never taught as an effect move against an active shooter it is a great way to get yourself killed.

Why is it that you NEVER see S.W.A.T , Police or anyother LEOS using this....Because it is useless and dangeous! End of story,

If you want to go rolling around on the ground with a hot weapon then be my guest, it's Gods way of thinning the herd!
You dont know that. you cant even do the combat roll.

LOL I still haven't seen him doing this wearing REAL combat gear.. You know Flak,Kevlar, plates, extra ammo, food, water, ect ect. Wear a 120lb weight vest and try this.. then come talk..
Vest and plates are too heavy to be practical for my tactics. i need to hit and move. Not sustain a drawn out fight.

I will be much more maneuverable than fools with plates and vests. I can dot hese rolls in a vest and backpack but i refuse plates or armor.

There is just no talking with this guy, he has all the answers and he is here to agitate and that's about all.

I have yet to read one of his posts that has anything of substance to them.

Instead of trying to learn from Vets that were in actual combat he is hell bent on trying to find someone who will buy into his Rambo work out, I just pray he doesn't kill himself or someone else rolling around with a loaded weapon.

There is so much combined knowledge here and to waste it on childish antics is mind blowing!

I do admit that he is entertaining at times in his posts that should be in a forum all his own called
"What not to do with a live weapon".

May his God be his body armour because he's going to need all the help he can get.

My 2nd year in as an MP I was assigned a young hot shot like him, the kid came from Indiana and that is where we laid him to rest with military honors for getting himself killed during the apprehension of an armed deserter.
Cool story. but just because he failed doesnt mean i will.

Yup, real cool story, wish I had a pic of his parents faces when we brought their son home in a crate for ya.

He was young, been playing army his whole life, couldn't wait to join up, did pretty good in basic & then had some problems with his AIT, thought he had developed some great moves the US Army was sure to adopt from his home made training.

He was given a direct order that would have saved his life, but he desided that he had a better way of apprehending a trained killer twice his age, well the bottom line is , because he did it his way he will forever be 23 years old.

I do not believe that you fully understand the weight of your home made tatics and the out come in real life fire fights, you really need to take a good hard look at what you'r doing, best of luck, you'll need it.

And by the way, if you ever have to see another human being in your sites I hope you can live with that person for the rest of your life because they will stick with ya until you draw your last breath.
Ill make sure to pray for them daily to realize what they had done in the afterlife and be very ashamed and guilty feeling.

May there be great sorrow, weeping and gnashing of teeth. Luke 13:28

"There will be weeping there, and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves thrown out.

Lets see, a tall thin silhouette moving fast and changing directions randomly while shooting at you or a bundled up body rolling in a straight line and whose gun is temporarily out of commission. A semi skilled shooter with good reflexes with pop that rolling bundle 3 or 4 times and it won't matter where the bullets hit, ankle, shoulder, middle of the back, in the side perforating a kidney the roller will become disabled. Any fool willing to use it as a combat maneuver has been watching way to many Kung Fu movies.
Or you will evade their gunfire. < Which would be the most likely scenario.

Really? Go ahead.... Prove it statistically. Your statement shows you don't know what statistics are.

Definition - Statistic: What you will become if you attempt to use combat rolls in live combat.

Combat rolls seem like a good idea until you wind up dead. This is why I use the combat cartwheel instead. The distance traveled by your head during this maneuver is much greater than with the combat roll.

Elite masters of warfare, however, use multiple sequential combat hand springs, finishing off with a double combat front flip. A great deal of speed is accumulated in this maneuver, your head is always moving, and, if you're out of ammo, you can slash your enemy's throat with a knife as you flip through the air over his head. Talk about shock and awe!

I can scientifically prove that my Kel Tec SU16c Jesus Rifle is superior to your Ruger Mini-30 Antichrist Rifle for SHTF scenarios by saying that there will be no SHTF while I carry a Jesus Rifle. If God is for me, who can be against me?
you cant do any of that, and you dont have a Jesus rifle.

He was never in uniform, couldn't get past the first questionnaire when they asked tricky questions like name, race and birthday,
I served my community 3 years as an EMT / Firefighter. thank you n00bie who lies to try to make himself feel better and in an attempt to try to troll and insult others..

Fact is I dont need to lie about myself or anyone else to try to build myself up or make me feel better..

Your actions show that you are in a jealous rage in Rejection of Christ and I pray you get saved before you burn for eternity in your own shame.

Not lying about you, just making fun of your pretentious uber Komic Book Kommando style and you thinking you are going to impress real shooters and veterans with your play acting. So explain to us how your EMT and Firefighting school turned you into Jackie Rambo Chan.
Im trying to impress no one. I am merely stating facts from my experience.
