Ok thanks for letting me know:)

If someone doesn' t they should make mag bodies for the mini when you think about it there is many people our their that have beat up mags that don't work so great and if someone were to manufacture replacement bodies (real High quality) and sell them they could sell a bunch of them then we could rebuild our old beat up mags.

hopefully the 94 crime bill will not be replaced and we will be back to the cheap days of hi caps!:rapid:

Fulton Armory has rebuild kits for Ar-15 and M-14 mags. If you're lucky they might have something similar for the mini-14 mags.

Legally you can buy all the mag parts you want to refurbish a pre-ban mag just as long as any combination of new or old parts cannot create a new complete mag that never existed before. Unless it can be proved that the new parts were created before Sept. 13 1994 and you are just now assembling them into a pre-ban magazine.

Where do you think all of these aftermarket pre-bans come from. The manufacturers stamped out thousands of cheap mag tubes and parts later to assemble them into magazines and sell at a huge profit.

And post ban mag bodies generally are ID'ed as such, or have LEO only stamped into it. As for the mag bodies themselves? I don't know for the minis. I am looking for rebuild kits to do the follower, floorplate and spring-Brownells is too expensive for $6 for follower and floorplate (per mag), and $18 for 3 springs.
AR rebuild kits with green followers are $5 a piece.

Actually, you can get replacement magazine tubes without any LE markings. They are made specifically to "replace" an existing pre-ban tube. Included in the packaging are the requisite warnings.

I have bought several over the years to replace my worn out IPSC competition mag tubes. STI, SV, Para Ordnance, and Glock sell them.
