The reports I have seen are all positive. It is reported to be more accurate than other surplus 30-06 ammo. I placed an order with the CMP. It is also available from Midway (best price other than the CMP)and others. I would suggest you buy some before it is gone.

I would be very interested in seeing any velocity data from the Danish ammo. From what I've heard, it does seem to shoot well for those who have tried it. Only thing I don't like is that it's not reloadable.

Maddon,
Looks just like the stuff I got. Who did you end up ordering it from? The Firing Line also had this question and Midwayusa seemed to have the best price.

The safety pins are there as an additional means for the securing of the bandoleers to clothing, etc. in a good usable position for the individual soldier. Depending on the equipment being carried, this can be of considerable help.

Hello all,

Just a comment/question...

I bought a bandoleer of the Danish ammo at the last gun show.

I put a magnet on it and it stuck! ( Imagine my suprise...)

My question is... Is it a steel bullet jacket or a steel core????

Steel jacket can't be good for my babies bore, right??

The Danish shoots really well at short range. I shot a 197/200 in the last garand match with it, and came in second place because my offhand sucks so bad. I tried shooting it in a long range match at 500 yards, and unfortunately it sucked big time. Extreme vertical dispersion, and this out of a Danish VAR barrel that shot the 175 gr Sierras really well at 1000 yards. FMJBT bullets have an open core at the back, and this causes instability which can cause extreme dispersion at longer range.
