Hey all. I'm looking for any info. any of you might have on this scope. It came on an Earlier model Colt(1982)SP1. Haven't been able to find anything on it yet on the internet or even at the Colt Website. Even what batteries it takes would help as the local radio shack can't hook me up either. Thanks for any help you can give!!!

Seems I have an old magazine around here that shows a picture of an SP1 that has that settup. That things probably worth quite a few bucks. Maybe you should call Colt. You could also try posting over at ar15.com there should be an old timer that will have some info.

I've got it posted a few places including AR15.com. Not much luck yet. I probably will finally call Colt. I wanted to give the gun forums a shot at it first. If you find that magazine let me know.

O'Reilly sorry it took so long to get back to you. The magazine was buried in the attic, the old magazine I have is GUNS & AMMO, 1984. ASSAULT FIREARMS. It does'nt say much- Battery lighted device with a variable intensity diode dot. It shows a picture of it on a SP1 and has similar scopes and sights in the article.

I too must apologize for not getting back sooner. I have no info on this scope. I've been on the road and away from the computer.

I called Colt and they have no record of it either. Tasco made some scopes for Colt in the late 80's. Do you see any indiction of another manufacturer on the scope?
