Thank you, and for the link as well. Got out last weekend and blasted off a couple mags. Shot pretty well at 25, same at 50 yards, although ny old eyes are having a bit of a time lining up the front sight. Im used to scoped guns, so looking to add a scope in the future. I might attempt to clean the mags up this weekend and do some more shooting.
Can you good folks recommend a decent priced scope for my gun?
Nothing fancy, and how do they mount with the Ruger rings that came with it?
Very new to this kind of weapon. Thanks again for all the advice.

Here's an old thread on scopes for the Minil. If you do a search on here you can find lots of info on sights, red dots, scopes, and rings and rails for the Mini.

Would most scopes mount on the accessory rail, it looks like it would be too far ahead.The gun came with Ruger rings. What do I have to watch for?

Also, Im reading about the Picatinny rail. Is that what I would need for scope mount, ot tactical red dot sights?
If so, where would be my best option for it?

GG&G makes a good rail for the Mini. They make pretty good red dot/rail combo. I heard Weigand makes a good rail too.

At 52 I need magnification! I have not used a red dot but I like a 3x9 scope mounted with QD Warne Rings mounted on the Ruger receiver. I like to be able to remover and replace the scope easily with minor lose of zero. YMMV

Well, I ordered a Millet red dot, thought Id take a chance. Didnt cost a lot so if I dont like it Im not out much.
