For the BEST work and not the fastest nor least expensive, I HIGHLY suggest taking your rifle to Evan's Gunsmithing and Shooters World in the City of Orange, especially if your project is of the M1A/14/21/25 or Remington 700 variety. Evan is the producer of the finest M14s on the west coast as well as the only certified assault weapon gunsmith. He is also the city armorer and handles several contracts from various federal and locak kaw enforcement agencies. He is expensive, but he is the best. If you do make it down there, tell em' Kwame sent you...

this is a damn shame, just finished reading their website..they have a California Assault Weapons Gunsmith license...

however, they refused to work on any Comblock weapons such as AK's and SKS's. Why such discrimination? before i read that fine print, i was gonna shoot out there to do some shopping. they definitely wont be getting my business.

Unfortunately, I called Evan's Gunsmithing due to thier repuation and asked how much for an arms18 mount for my m1a and he stated that the price was $299.00 dollars. Not including any gunsmithing or boresighting. I told him thank you for your time sir and bought an arms 18 mount from Martin Retting in Culver city for $175.00 dollars plus tax. I had it mounted and boresighted by Bain and Davis in San Gabriel for $45.00 dollars.

I know about costs etc., for I have a business myself, and do not mind paying people for their services (ie., lawyers, cpa's) but when does costs become greed?

My friends an I were going to go to them for other work as well, but after what happened, we will have to take our business else were.
