thanks for the info. i'm now torn of the issue. i have talked with several people that have them and have heard that reliability and accuracy are an isuse

Reliability? Accuracy? This thing is intended just to let you practice with a cheap ammo in your main weapon.
If you want a reliable accurate 22lr semi-auto rifle, there is quite a choice there. You can pick up a new Ruger 10/22 for not much more than the price of the conversion kit.

I have not seen very many class III, 10-22's for the price of a conversion kit. If this were for a semi, I'd agree, but I'm looking for a cheaper way to shoot longer with a full auto. I'll probably buy a conversion kit for my Uzi carbine since it comes with a new barrel.

Treedawg, watch the Subguns boards. I see them pop up from time to time there. I used to see them on ebay too, but I haven't seen them lately. I have one, but only one 30 rd mag. Honestly I like the one for the AR15/M16 better. It is near perfect. When I first got mine for the Ruger it worked well, but lately it hasn't worked well (3 - 4 jams per mag). You may be better off with the Uzi conversion. I have one of those too, but my Uzi is still in transfer, so I can't comment on its function. It looks nice though. Good luck shopping.

Did you get one of the Vectors or an older IMI? I have an older IMI and have been very pleased with it over the years. If you're not already familar with the Uzi's you'll be pleased to to learn how easy they are to convert and repair. There's a great UZI board and if you're interested in let me know.

I got the Vector. I have seen your posts over there. I've had an Uzi of one type or other since '94. Good luck on your search for sub caliber satisfaction.
