Has anybody had any experience with the Burris Fastfire III red dot and gg&g mini 14 base. Does the GG&G base hold properly on the mini 14 ranch.
Does the fastfire hold zero on the mini 14? I know it can be hard on scopes and red dots.

The Burris Fastfire II and III are very nice little sights. I've shot a Ruger Mk II with a Fastfire III installed. I was highly impressed with it. Build quality was top notch and it just plain worked.

I'm not too sure about the mount. I haven't seen one in person. It looks well built and it use's the integral ring mount of the rifle, which should make it solid setup. Just as long as the mounting hardware is well designed.

One of the cool things with the Fastfire, it is small enough, that is can be mounted on top of a scope, with rings that have a Picatinny rail on top of them. I’ve attached a pic of what it looks like.

What he said:
The GGG rail is bomb proof, I used a dab of loctite on the threads. The fast fire sights have a 3 or 4 moa dot? That would not be very accurate at 100 yds.

I purchased a Burris Fastfire II three years ago and installed it on a Mossberg 590 12 gauge. My son uses it for deer hunting with rifled slugs and it works great. The Fastfire was easy to sight-in and is of good quality. It holds zero after dozens of hard hitting slugs being fired. I was able to hit a 100 yrd target with great accuracy. I believe the dot is 3 or 4 MOA.

The Fastfire is a great buy, cost vs quality and I highly recommend.
