Hey singleside. A few members said theirs was too thick, so they split it or sanded it down. I made one out of an innertube (neapreme rubber). You can do a search and enter buffer, many posts will come up.

My buffer was a little thick, so I sanded it down. After doing this I have concluded it is one of the better things to do. Get a Wolf recoil spring. It's seems stronger than the fac. spring. and my mini performs better with less receiver bashing by the slide. The buffer and spring combo. helps tremendously. Good luck and good shooting.

I use them alot and they are a little thick. They do lessen the impact considerably. I got some advise from someone who suggested they are great for range/plinking/general action protection, but should be removed for serious conflict lest they tear or come apart and possibly jam your system when you least need a problem. Made sense...?

I found a block of urethane plastic at work and made my own. I had to experiment to find the proper thickness.1/8 inches was causing ejection problems. I don't believe that it has to be very thick to reduce metal to metal impact.

The buffer was a perfect fit for the Mini Thirty, a little thick for the Mini 14s just a minor ajustment sand it some. Reduce the shock to your optics. That said, now if I can overcome rust, criminal elected officials and this nightmare. Singleside out.:ar15:
