Never thought I'd wind up purchasing one of these but couldn't say no to the price.
It's one of the signed Marine Corp commemorative ones, which makes me wonder why the foregrip and not a straight hand guard like the military issued ones.
Eh... it only came with the one 20 round stick mags... so the foregrip is a good excuse to buy a drum for it... aesthetics you know!

Looking forward to trying it out, but with a GS in Washington Mo this weekend, which is usually a 'good'n'... it may have to wait a bit.

Those evil guys at the pawn shop had a 1990 manufacture Marlin 39AS for $225 when I went in to pick this up today... I swear that they just lay in wait for the opportunity to pick my pocket! :p

Great looking gun!

I'd suggest you get moving on your mags ASAP. Gun grabbers are going to be pushing for a ban on the things and at best that could jack up prices. Thompson drums ain't cheap at the best of times....

Agreed.
Best I've found so far are the 50 rounders, which is plenty enough, at $200 each with another $20 for shipping... ouch!

Honestly Curt... I was kind of shocked when I first hefted it in the pawn shop, and that was obviously empty... gives a new found respect for those boys who actually wielded them in the field back in the day.
