Anyone here use one? I have some handloads that are coming up on several reloads for my mini, and I have seen a disparity in prices, say from $10 (like TAPCO?) to $17 (CREEDMOOR), and want to know if anyone has used them, and have any recommendations or warnings for that matter on particular extractors.

Thanks.

"Shell extractors"? "I have some handloads that are coming up on several reloads"?

Don't quite get ya. You mean empty case extractor? to remove stuck cases from the reloading die? If so yes I have a Lyman, and have used it. Works good. The advice would be to use more case lube so they won't get stuck.

Most of the time, a brass brush will do the trick 95% of the time. Run a bare rod down the barrel and from the chamber end, thread on a (new or only slightly used) brush that's snug inside the case body. Pull the brush into the broken case, than push it back out with the case attached.
If you have ever tried to reverse a brush inside the barrel, you know what kind of grip it has.
