I have B-square bipods on my mini. Harris on sale $49

You can get a mini adaptor that fits onto the gas block, but me being the cheep guy, I mounted a Uncle Mikes swivel stud on the forestock of my Hogue. A little more work, but cost less.
Do a search for more details.

I got the Harris, it seemed like the thing to do at the time. It's a great little gadget, no doubt, and it doesn't mount on the barrel and mess with harmonics or anything. But the thing is heavy, and it takes a NASCAR pit-crew to get it on and off. And, it's pricey. Recently I bought one of those 3 dollar clip on bipods, shot with it a couple hundred rounds, and it still holds fast. I can take it off and put it back on in about 3.5 seconds. Even if I left it on, it's only about a few ounces of barrel end weight. I'm starting to think a Harris bipod is good for the old BAR's or the SAW or an Armalite .50. I'm not sure it's really a good idea for a mini. But - it depends on how you like to shoot. It's sweet, no doubt. But is it too much? Those other stiff arm, barrel or under barrel mounts are crap. The hex bolts strip with the recoil and they get all wobbly. The old sand bag still rules.

My B-Square bipod removes in 2 sec. Just loosen a large thumb screw knob give a 1/2 twist, and it comes off. I'm getting the Harris also. I mostly use bipods for long range field shooting, as I have a bench rest for the range. I like to have the option to use or not to use I leave the universal swivel stud adaptor on all the time so its an easy on/off. The sherrif deputy's I shoot with leave one on their rifle all the time. I put it on my mini when I need it. Will check out the Harris installation.

I currently have the Harris bipod adapter on the front of my mini-14 ranch rifle. The mounting is good and solid but it does take a little patience to get it's clip over the sling swivel on the gas block. A screwdriver helps considerably, but you could conceivably poke your eye when the screwdriver slips. So don't get your face too close. That said, it's not hard to install, just be patient.

There's only one thing I don't like about it. It shortens the length of the sling from swivel to swivel by 3 inches. I'll probably get used to the fit on my shoulder. But now I think I know why Ruger only sells 5-round magazines. Longer mags poke right in the back when you're slinging it over the shoulder.

Kali you brought up a good point, reguarding caring a slinged mini with Hi-Cap mag.

I carry my mini slung over my left shoulder, muzzle down, mag foward (try this in front of a mirror). My left hand is at its normal walking position i.e. hanging down from my shoulder, and my left hand is grasping the forstock at a confortable position. Now when I see a critter that needs shooten, I bring my left hand up grasping the mini, giving it a half twist on the way up to normal shooting position, at the same time my right hand and trigger finger seek their natural shooting position, my steely eyes never leave the target. Now I have drawn my mini from relaxed carry to ready to fire position in less than 1 sec. With a little practice you will be fast, and accurate. Try it, you will like it :D

caj, the idea of leaving the adapter on is a good one that'll become SOP for my set up. The shoulder sling technique sounds better than what I'm doing. and PS, the clip oin bipod actually mounts/dismounts in just under a second - so I have you by about 1.1 seconds, hehe.
