Hey bob, I haven't seen any stainless bipods, the big three Harris, B-Square, and Versa pod, are made of hard aluminium.

I have B-Square. They work well for me. You can also use the search button, and several threads will come up.

dude I dropped big coin on a Harris and then I droped about $5 on that barrel clip-on gizmo you see in all the catalogs. 1000+ rounds later, the Harris is in storage and I keep the clip-on in the back of my battle pack, ready to go at a moments notice. It's lightweight and durable and it goes on and off in a blink. Anyone want to buy a slightly used Harris? See my pic.

SP, I'm glad the "barrel" clip on works for you, but I'm surprised it dosen't change your POI, as the weight of the mini would be on the thin barrel. The weight on the fore stock, or at least the gas block would be better for accuracy.

I have tride the haris bipods sevral times and have never been happy with them. I now use a small camra tripod with a paded u bolt attached that I cary in my backpack, it's steady as a rock and wont interfear with off hand shooting.

I bet it does change the POI, but I've re-zeroed my scopes to compensate, for what it's worth maybe that helps some.. At the end of the day it's a cheap piece of plastic with a flimsy spring and there's no way it'd outshoot the Harris or a Versa (which is what i think you have), I'm sure of that. It doesn't have elevation change capabilities either but, much like the trusty sand-sock, it holds my shaky barrel in one spot long enough to squeez of a round and if I have to pick up and run away, it's light enough that I can bust off one or two aimed shots on the way out. The cool thing about this gun is that it can do so much. You'd never throw a plastic bipod on a long barrel, and a harris/versa on an AK or AR probably doesn't make too much sense either. It all depends on what you want to do with it, which is what makes it so fun to own - choices.
