I'd like to attach a laser to the Mini-14 barrel - not for actual shooting but for aiming practice only.

Is there a cheap bracket out there or a way to manufacture one? Maybe even a ready-made set for an airgun? It has to be cheap and does not have to be sturdy since it will not be exposed to the stress of shooting. Also, I don't want to modify the stock for it.

If your not going to shoot with it why not just use some electrical tape and a wood shim to give it the beam a little clearance under the muzzlebreak? Now thats cheap.

I got a good one for $75 off of Deltaforce.com. It's barrel mtd. and holds up to everything so far.

But aren't lasers in your state illegal?

If it's cheep ya want you can butterfly a couple of clamps ( Butterfly = one clamp around the barrel, and one around the laser with one screw/nut holding the two clamps together). Can't find clamps, you can make some out of banding material.
