You didn't say how much so I don't really know how good of a deal. I personally have had no bad dealings with their products or customer service people.

How many rounds has it seen?

I have been very pleased with my Armalite M15A2. It has been a great firearm. Accurate and fun to shoot. Recently I have the opportunity to find out how good their customer service department is.

My Armalite locked up and after trying all of the normal fixes, it was sent off to the factory. It was returned within three weeks and there was no charge. Turns out a primer has gotten stuck under the bolt and jammed it up tight. They polished up the chamber and feed ramp and test fired it. It was out of warrenty so I was really pleased to say the least.

I'm very impressed with the quality of Armalite and if you handle other brands a little, you will notice it.They just feel tight and function great! I now have it's big brother AR-10A4 and you won't even be able to pry it from my dead hands! I had a genuine H&K SR9 target rifle (very rare and $$$)and I got rid of it after shooting my AR-10!
