I own a Remington 870 Express and want to replace the org stock with a stock with a pistolgrip. I`ve been looking on some stocks from Advanced Tech. I still want to use my gun for hunting, so are folding stocks any good for hunting?
I think you should just get a fixed stock with a pistol grip if you prefer pistol grips. A folder has no benefit I can see for hunting. A folders only benefit is portability and working in tight spaces.
I would have to agree with what the others have said here. There is a folder on my Moss. 500a and I would not even think of using it for hunting. I cant get the same posture on it as a regular stock, so I dont feel it is quite as accurate. But I just use it for varmint control (of both the 2 and 4 legged varities ). It is nice though to be able to just fold'er up and stick it behind the door or behind the seat in the truck.
