Hi @all,

I thought this had been asked so many times that someone should REALLY measure it

The only drawback : I'm from Germany so all measurements are metric ones.

So I use the following rifle :

195 series Ruger Ranch Rifle .223 Rem
Archangel Sparta stock
P.E.P.R 30mm scope mount
Konus M30 1-4x24

The complete system weights 5 KG measured on a bathroom scale.


I also have a Butler Creek Sporter (not folding) synthetic stock which I used before the Sparta.

195 series Ruger Ranch Rifle .223 Rem
Butler Creek Sporter
30mm Leupold Scope mounts for the Ranch Rifle scallops
Konus M30 1-4x24

This combination weights 4,3 KG .


And here are the details :

Archangel Sparta stock : 1,9 KG
Butler Creek Sporter : 1,2 KG
P.E.P.R Mount with Konus M30 1-4x24 : 0,7 KG
Barreled action with Accu-Strut: 2,4 KG

The BC Folder weights the same as my Sporter since I have a Karsten Cheek Pad on the Sporter.

Thank you Marcus for this info. You do not happen to have the stock wood or black synthetic stock do you or know how much it weighs ?? Just trying to get an idea of how much more the Archangel Sparta stock weighs. I am guessing the Sparta weighs about 1/2 pound more or for you approx. .227 Kg. Again that is just my guess. I will not know unless I get a Archangel Sparta stock myself. God Bless

Hi,

in the details I listed the Butler Creek Sporter stock with 1,2 KG . That's a normal synthetic stock, including stock reinforcement and stock forearm liner.

Plus mine has a Karsten cheek rest.

So between my Sporter stock an the Sparta I have 0,7 KG difference.
