Saw a post on plastic "combo mags" that fit Mini-14 AND Ar-15 ... Since they are making a plastic COMBO mag that fits BOTH AR's and Mini's... logic has it that the AR mags could be modified to cycle reliably in Ruger Mag wells !!! Sure would solve the Ruger "Factory" mag hunt and price gouging, if it could be worked out... any comments ??? AB

PS My Mini-30 Mags DO NOT taper at the front (as replied downline) they are wide all the way forward... in fact they take a WIDER trigger housing... which WILL bolt up to a Mini-14... It was after making THIS change I was referring to ABOVE, BEFORE attempting to fit up the AR Mags in Mini-14 (the stock would have to be opened up too), but you could try inserting the Mag with the action out of the stock to fit it up !!! No. The front of the AR mags are too wide. Look at your Mini mags. See how it tapers at the front. AR is square, not tapered. You would have to cut up you Mini to make an AR mag fit. Give it a try and let us know how it goes. I'll even lend you my Dremal tool.

Edited because I can't spell and type at the same time.

The mags you are asking about are made buy Ram-line. You can find them at Delta Force.
Item # RMAC1530.....$59.95. At times on sale for $39.95. I have 2 of them a friend gave me. Seem to work very well. Have never jammed or missed a round. But I like my PMI's and fact. mags alot better.

These mags work well in a Mini shooting semi but jam on fullauto. They don't work very well in an AR at all. I've already sold the ones that I had because they were pretty much useless to me.

Stick to the USGI mags for the ARs.
