My favorite is MidwayUSA. They carry a large variety of accessories from many manufacturers and the site tells you when you're looking at an item if they have it in stock. If they have it in they ship pretty fast. They also participate in NRA Roundup so you can donate when you place your order if you'd like to.
Here is the list of sites that I visit for accessories:
Cheaper than Dirt
*These vendors carry some good stuff, but you need to look at what you're buying (check reviews), as some of the components or accessories may be more applicable for toys or AirSoft than an actual .223/5.56 AR.
It really depends on what accessory you are looking for. I buy from several different sites because I usually look for the lowest price. I rarely buy from Ebay, unless I am looking for something lightly used.
GrabAGun.com and Buds Gun Shop usually have the lowest prices (with shipping) by a wide margin, granted they carry what you are looking for. Some other sites that have unique and high quality accessories are La Rue (optics mounts), Impact Weapons Components (sling, bipod, and light mounts), SWFA (optics and mounts), Vikings Tactics (sling components) etc.
GG&G, Midwest Industries, Bravo Co., Magpul, Knights Armament, Troy, etc all make and sell quality components. I probably own at least one accessory made by almost all of them. Many of their accessories can be purchased direct or through other retailers.
Unfortunately Google no longer shows "shopping" results in their searches, so you can't easily compare prices. If you know what you are looking for you just have to put in the extra effort of manually going from site to site to find the best price.
I am U.S Army; I've shot the M16A1/A2/A3 and M4 Carbine for the last two decades and know a bit about them but not the civilian versions.
My cousin is looking at the following DPMS models and wants to know the scoop on em:
DPMS 16" A1 Lite16 Rifle for $705.00
DPMS 16" A2 PICAR Rifle for...
I am aware that there are mil-spec and commercial spec handles out there. I have heard of some troubles folks have had with an "F" front sight and the (usually too low) rear sight on a commercial carry handle, etc.
I was just wondering if anyone with a detachable handle could measure...
Was perusing one of my local haunts the other day and the owner tells me they just took in huge estate purchase. Several high end revolvers....Korth...Colt.....some real nice older Smith & Wessons. All big money and nothing I really was interested in. Owner then says there were several AR's in...
I hope someone can help educate me regarding the origins of some of my favorite rifles.
I am aware of the existence of both the HBAR 20-inch barrel and the so-called "Government profile" A2 barrel profile. I have owned and fired both. I'm not trying to start a discussion of the pros...
Received my BCA Upper couple of days ago.
7.62X39, 16" HB
Only found one flaw, a nick on the rear lug. Not a deal breaker, filed it smooth and covered the spot with a sharpie.
Added an AR stoner Linear brake, Vortex Cantilever one piece Base and
a Nikon P7 3-12X40. Also installed a Kaw Valley...
