Just curious if anyone has experience with these? I saw a Mil Spec for $469.00 the other day. I am curious if Kahr released these the right way of if they were released before they should have been like the Kahr Polymer series?

I have read several reviews so far about it. All have been very pleased with it. My brother purchased one of them before Khar took over. It is a shooter, but my Springfield mil spec is much tighter. I do like the hammer on the Auto Ordinance though. It is shorter and wider, with checkering. I have been tempted to get one to replace mine. :)

I have hundreds of magazines scattered around the house in a very untidy fasion. Luckily, however, I found one of the more recent reviews on the new Thompson Auto Ordinance 1911. It is the cover story for the August 2002 Guns&Ammo Handguns magazine.

One of the blurbs from the article (taken from the final paragraph) is as follows: "I genuinely believe it offers the consumer the best combination of low cost and good quality currently available."

There are some other reviews to link to also.
American Rifleman: http://www.tommygun.com/pr_ar1201.html
Combat Handguns: http://www.tommygun.com/pr_ch1201.html
Gun Week: http://www.tommygun.com/pr_gw0701.html

I have not yet read these reviews, (I am no longer in the market for a 1911 since I purchased a Springfield Mil-Spec this spring) but since the manufacturer is providing them, I can only assume they are positive.

Good luck, and have fun with whatever you get! :D
