Hi runnerman;

Not surprised at all, given the source of the document.

Sadly, the mini is no longer sailing under the radar of the bad guys. Which just means we have to all hang together opposing future legislation/fiat bans.

All the best,
Grumpy

The Mini has been used in the U.S. more then a few times for nefarious deeds.

Of course not, it's not select fire. It's more like a personal defense/utility carbine then anything. How about we re-christen the Mini...

From here on in the Mini shall be the worlds first SUR (Sport Utility Rifle).

Let's not give the gun-control dirtbags a catalog of badguy incidents to inflame political morans.
unfortunately, nutcases don't really care about other's rights (like that fool in norway).

best to ARTICULATE (without sounding like a nut yourself) these cretins are in the EXTREME minority and don't represent the vast majority of rifle owners.

Let's see...

Vikings.. They used to sail around and rape/pillage/plunder, and did it with basic arms of the day.

Seems like this dude is just going back to his roots, but using a semi-auto rifle and pistol to do it. (Could be done with swords/hammer and arrows...)

Crazy, motivated people have always created death and distruction. Only Liberals who are fully steeped in the nonsense that man is peaceful, and nice by nature, and not mean, nasty and predatory by nature think they can live without any personal protection, and need to be prepared for the worst, yet always look for the best.

A point that has not yet been made enough, is ONE ARMED LAW ABIDING CITIZEN on the island could have ended this whole thing well before this nut-job killed so many.

This is in a country that prides itself that law officers are mostly not armed. What a great claim right? Yep, we are so peaceful, that nothing bad will ever happen here... WRONG.

Reality comes along and gives the nation of Norway, and all Socialist/Liberals/Peaceniks a big bitchslap of what happens when you FAIL TO PLAN.

When I go camping, I have a minimum of a pistol along, and more often, a pistol and a few rifles. (Why go camping if you are not also going shooting... LOL)

I feel sorry that so many kids and other innocent people died, but banning guns and sticking your head further into the sand will never protect anyone from reality that will surely come along and create havoc when you least expect it.

I read that if the Norway shooter is convicted on all charges the maximum penalty he faces is 21 years in prison. I think he should be facing a 21 gun Mini 14 firing squad.

Too true man. The answer is always stripping all of our rights away, one by one. Too many of the politicians and lawmakers talk out of both sides of their mouths, and rarely practice what they preach. They call for strict gun laws, but most all of them have the luxury of (armed) personal bodyguards. They petition for clean air, but they fly around the world in private jets, one of the biggest contributors to atmospheric pollution. They call for free speech, and then censor the airways and push all types of propaganda and liberal agenda. The answer is not more laws and restrictions. Don't forget, most of these guys were lawyers at one time or another, and all they know is how fill our lives with red tape, legal language, and restrictions that only apply to the little people. Creation of these ambiguous laws only cripple our justice system, and fills our correctional facilities to the brim, forcing the truly dangerous individuals to an early parole. There is little justice to begin with, why add more laws and regulation to the heap now? The answer is less restriction, and less lawyers......especially in politics.

Poor mans rifle my ass! I paid $750 for my 581 ranch a couple months ago. For $750 you can get a very nice AK, and for a $100 or so more and pretty good AR15.

I bought my mini's because I love them, not because they're "cheap". Well maybe love is too strong a word. I like the M14/M1A inspired, lightweight design. Its alot of fun, and if I want to accurize it there are several ways to deal with that. Have you ever tried to clear a nasty jam in an AR? With the mini, its a relatively painless deal. Lastly the peoples republic of Kalifornia made the decision easy. I could have a bastardized AR or an unmolested mini. I chose the mini.
