You don't live in Corruptfornia do ya ? Don't you think we out here
might go for an AR if we could ? I like my mini. Sure it cost a LOT
more to get it to shoot close to an AR, I can't get an AR out here
and I happen to like my ole mini, as do the other members and guests
here who laid down the money to get a Ruger. It is overpriced. It
does have a problem with hi-caps. It doesn't shoot very accurate
unless work is done on em. Still I like it, just because it is
different..

My ole Harley leaks
oil, is kinda hard to start, and I'll never get the money out of
it I have in it, should I sell it. But in comparsion to the new
"custom" bikes that look factory even with all the bells and whistles,
well, like my mini, I'll keep my ole knuck just cause no one else has
one like it. I can't explain it any clearer than that.

GK is that you? You are are a man who speaks his mind and does not MIND what others will say against him. :D
No use in putting blast reducer, luminous sights etc. on a pos eh? ;) Spiderholes and canned CAR is the way to go. :ar15:
Saw the post on the 22 conversion, now there is no doubt. GK has landed! Hope you can "survive" here for at least a while. When the shtf, you will get to strut your stuff. He who laughs last laughs loudest! hahahahahaha

22man did i hear you right? I read another post that you have a .45 pistol that shoots 4" or better at 100 yards. And that a 2" group at 100 yards with a rifle equals to 12" at 600 yards and that a man could not be hit at that distance. Anybody who has actually shot at messured distances will tell you that if your gun shoots 2" at 100 yards doesn't mean that it will shoot 12" at 600 yards. Some bullets stabilize and shoot better as the ditance get farther and some don't. Also no matter how perfect it is at your range there's still wind, humidity and temp to deal with. Many rifles capable of shooting 1" at 100 yards can't shoot 4"at 400 yards. Often closer to 8-10". Also not everyone can afford or likes the AR15. You are on a forum that many members would preffer the mini over the AR regardless the price.

Kalifornia. Why do gun owners in other states tell us to leave? This place is my home. I want the communist/socialists to leave. Good gunowners did not cause our problems, massive immigration and leftist politicians caused our problems. We are outnumbered. Pure and simple.

The funny thing is that the big tough gunowners in other states that look down on us unfortunate Californians could find themselves in the exact same situation if they get one bad return in the next state election. It only takes one election to lose your freedom!! And, they would be screwed just like us. There would be nothing they could do about it. No one is going to overthrow anything. They will have to go along with the new laws just like us.

Gun owning Californians are the good guys. We need your support, not your condemnation.

It appears that 22man is behaving like a lot of posters on a lot of sites around the internet. Just trying to stir up trouble and goad people. This activity adds little or nothing to the community of knowledge.

If I remember correctly, some moron taking out his personal problems on a schoolyard in Stockton had a lot to do with your current legislative problems in the Republic of Kalifornia. But you are absolutly right, one election can bring down a world of s**t for all gun owners. Join the NRA (regardless of how you feel about all the policy BS, it's still the loudest voice we have), join your local gun collectors assn. , join your local range. There IS strength in numbers. P.S. a.223 rifle is a .223 rifle. Just like a Chevy and a Ford are both cars, if it gets you where your going, then it did the job!

Just because the military doesn't use it, doesn't mean it's inferior OR an artifact. Look at the bradley as an example. Or better yet, compare an f-18 to an a-10 when looking at cost, complexity, and effectiveness.

I'll take the simple a-10 with a titanium cockpit any day :)

THE military has nothing to do with it. The Mini can't do a thing that the AR can't do better, and the AR can do some things that the mini can't TOUCH. so why bother with the mini? Break the mini's handguard (easily done) and its operating rod will FALL off of the gun. It's a CRUDE, cast, light duty clunk. Simple as that.

With out trying to start a pissing match. Why should you care what I spend my $ on. Its not your's is it? Some of us like to play after we buy something. And I bet ya most here have AR's and knowing this bunch, they can not leave them alone eather. The mini is what it is. Its fun to play with. So whats the big deal. Let it go.

Lets us know when your daddy lets you have the car so you can go to the range and learn a little about what you say you know. Untill then, I well not waste any more time on or with you. And I suggest the rest of us real shooters do the same.

BTW the handguard has nothing to do with slide rod, all it is is a guard. It shouldn't even be touching the slide rod.

And as far as I've seen, The only major thing the ar does better is MOA. If I want to take my time and bench rest shoot for groups, I'll get a bolt gun. In the meantime, I'll keep shooting my mini. I would think many ppl think like I do, because the mini is a popular gun.

Anyway, that's just my opinion :)
