Yes, the tips on this site do work, the first thing I did was put a 2-7 redfield scope on mine. Accuacy was 5+ inches at 100 yds shooting from a sand bag rest. Next was the gas block lapping and consistant gapping, as well as the "free" floating of the barrell and hand guard, accuracy was 3+ inches at 100 yards shooting from a sandbag rest with the scope. Next was the double muzzle brake from "cheaper than dirt" and a hogue synthetic stock, (barrel is still free floating), accuracy is now 2+ inches at 100 yds from a sandbag rest. Cost of this all $475 for the SS/Ranch, $50 for the Scope, $27 for the muzzle brake, $80 for the stock.
