Actually I am not really sure this belongs here, but a friend of mine recently purchased a barrel for his Thompson-Center Encore in 6.5-270 JDJ. These barrels were manufactured by SSK Industries and, I guess, are considered "wildcats." Anyway, my friend contacted me and asked if I could look up any reload information on the net for this caliber. I found out pretty quick that there are no listings for this type of information or I wasn't going to the right place to search. My question is: Does anyone reload for this type of caliber and if you do, what would be a good load for 120 gr. bullets? If someone knows a website that I could attain this info, please post the address. Thank you very much for any reply and have a SAFE AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR!!!:)

Looking in Cartridges Of The World and I don't see a 6.5-270 JDJ listed. I see:
6.5mm JDJ
6.5mm JDJx30
6.5 Mini Dreadnaught
6.5mm JDJ No. 2
270 JDJ
and more in the 7mm's.

He is probably going to have to contact SSK Industries for any load data.
I didn't see anything on their website, either. http://www.sskindustries.com/index.html

I'm guessing that this is a new caliber introduced by SSK recently (in the past year). I thought that I would be able to locate some info on this caliber, but I have been unsuccessful. My friend did say that SSK sent him some load data for the 129 gr. bullet. The data was gathered by Cor-Bon using bullets from different manufacturers, but only 129 gr. Personally, I told him that he should purchase some 129 gr. bullets that was tested and load those until further information could be obtained. :rapid:
