Jim, I have a 30-40 Krag. I shoot 180 grain cast bullets in it mostly, using SR-4759 powder. It was my grandfather's gun which was passed to my Dad and then me. It has taken many deer and a few elk during it's time with our family. Always wondered and wished I could know where it was before that.
