Thanks for the information. It certainly clears up some questions I had.
I only have 2 03 Models.. a 1918 manufactured 03 with original barrel, but arsenal rebuilt.. got that in a CMP drawing last Spring.
The other is an 03A3 , DCM, 1962 with paperwork. Looks unfired since shipped by DCM.
I have a few spare barrels I've picked up here and there. One is an "A V" (Avon I'm guessing) marked 4-groove and two are Remington 1944 2 groove. All are brand new... at least they appear to be and gage out with TE less than 1. The 4-groove is dark olive and bears machining grooves as if it has been turned down. The 2 grooves are traditional dark parkerized..
