I just dropped off my trigger assy at the PO for Mike K. to perform his magic. I order everything except the lapping bullets. At the present time I am not reloading 223 and I do not know of anyone locally that does. Understanding that mini's will shoot different with different ammo but should I expect to be able to achieve 2 MOA without lapping? I will be using a Leupold-Gilmore LG-1 with 2 MOA dot so anything under 2 MOA is gravy.

Also ... is bedding the factory plasic stock a waste of bedding material? I know allot of you are using the Houge overmolded (I have one on a custom 10/22).

Hey Sew. Va hunter is correct as a 2 MOA red dot will cover 2" of the bullseye, even if your rifle is capable. Only a scopes cross HAIRS can get your rifle to shoot up to its, or your full capability. In your case I wouldn't lap as it requires reloading. Maby something you would like to get into later?

Yes bedding your stock will help. My Hogue did not improve my groups over the std wood stock at all. It only shot better after I bedded it. Average groups shrank 3/4" and 3" flyers are gone. The Hogue stock for BOLTGUNS shoot better as they come with aluminum bedding. Semi autos do not.

The trigger job will help ya a bunch.;)
