I pulled my .17 converted Ruger 10/22 from it's case the other day, only to find 2- 3" thin cracks in the carbon fiber barrel. Only 300 rounds through it. Now that's scary!
Should I be shooting it?
One would think the manufacturer would want to remove this barrerl from the market.
And what ever happened to the folks who offered conversion kits?
Rimfire and E.A. Brown are both out. Has this caliber become an orphan?
