Hey!!

Has anybody had the chance yet to shoot the TNZ? If so, how was it? Any better than the stock target model? And how about that stock? I love the looks of it, and I was wondering if it can be purchased for a reasonable price. Any ideas?

It's the new target model by Ruger. Has quite a fancy stock. I just don't know if it shoots any better than the other Ruger target model.

On Gunfinder.net it is being listed as a Ruger rifle, however it is out of stock. So it might very well be that it was a limited edition.
I have noticed the Boyds Smart Stock, and it is quite similar, but I actually like the looks of the Ruger stock better. Maybe I should just send an email over to Ruger and see what they'll say about the stock!? Oh well. Still would like to know how Ruger's most expensive 10/22 actually shoots...

Congratulations Gatekeeper! It's a beautiful rifle, and I agree, it's too cold, windy and rainy right now. Keep that beauty locked away.

Welcome to the forum Gatekeeper. I envy your TNZ. It is beautiful. I bet Boyds had a contract with Ruger to produce 1000 of them, and no more, so we could not buy one.

We are looking forward to hearing how she shoots. BTW, just curious, could you give us the first 3 numbers of its serial #? For example I my 10/22's are #250- and a #252-.

thanks Cajungeo, the first three dig's are 252 does have a couple unusual features though a soft rubber but pad with Ruger logo in it never seen one of those before on a 10/22 ,,and the fore stock has an opening about 6 in's long and about an inch wide going all the way through to the bottom side of the barrel,,wonder what that's for?
