Hey Greg. I used to have a Ram line folder 10/22 (preban). It was somewhat solid, but not as solid as a 1 piece stock, as there is some flex in the hinge.

Are you using a .920" barrel, or the std Ruger barrel? I don't believe the std. barrel is capable of 1" groups at 100 yds. 50 yds. maby. The .920 match barrel, is capable IF, your using a 1 piece stock bedded, scoped, barrel freefloated & shimed with proper ammo, Using benchrest bipods, or sandbag, and last but not least NO WIND.

For good shooting cheap bullets, My 10/22 likes K-mart Dynapoints (Winchester super x Hp in disguise). Coyote, and some others like Wolf match. It is reasonable for match ammo. Just have to get some, and try out. I would NOT recommend Remington golden bullets, they are very inconsistant, and a very heavy coat of wax sometimes down on to the cases.
