I have a 10 inch 32 h&r barrel. In fact I just picked up a box of ammo for it this afternoon at Cabellas. Looking forward to trying it out.

I finally got to take the Contender with the .32 H&R to the range this weekend. It is a nice shooting barrel, with very soft recoil. I don't think it is a very accurate or consistant barrel, but this could just be the ammo. The choices are quite limited in this caliber. I may eventually do some reloads.

Thanks for the up date on your 32 H.& R. . I use to know a guy that shot Hunter Pistol matches with his and he shot master. I am sure he reloaded for his. If you hunt it should be a great rabbit and wild turkey round.

Another trip to the range this weekend with a different batch of ammo. It did seem to be noticeablly more consistant, but it may just be me getting used to it too. I nver claim to be an expert marksman.
I also tried out my new to me 14 inch .223 barrel. This one is amazing! I was quite suprised at the recoil on this one. Very pleasant to shoot. It was also quite the attention getter.

So far, I have only been shooting factory ammo. I am currently rebuilding my house after last year's wildfires in Texas, so i won't be doing any reloading until after the new house is done.

.223 pistol barrel powder.

I have messed with building a load for my 14" contender 223. I would say to give the IMR4198 a go. Burns quick and clean in the 14" barrel. Still working on it but looking good.
