Thumbs up KMO's Mo-Rod

I received my Mo-Rod yesterday and mounted it on my Mini-14 Ranch Rifle. The quality is top-notch and looks good on my rifle. After firing a few rounds through it my groups a little tighter and i'm not getting such a bad barrel "jump" when rapid firing. Buy one if you get a chance, you'll be glad you did!

I received mine also yesterday. Have not mounted it yet, as I want to try shooting the gun first to see improvement. Just like yours ... thanks for the pics!

Nice Mini!

Hey oldsoldier, your Mini looks great, and I'm glad those Mo-Rod custom clamps for the tapered barrel did the job for you. It was a challenge to get those just right, but from the feedback I've gotten thus far from the tapered barrel owners, I think we have a winner. Nice rifle!

That really looks good! Good job.

Question - How does the rod connect to the lower gas block? Pinned, or two set-screws?

Gas Block Anchor Point

The Mo-Rod fits snugly over the front "rib" portion of the gas block and is anchored by set screws from both sides. There is no drilling or alteration to the rifle whatsoever necessary to mount it. For the tapered barrels, like the one shown in this thread, the clamps are a bit "beefier," so with that third anchor point at the gas block, it's held very tightly in place.

With the rod being attached to the gas block, is the back clamp really necessary? From those pics, it seems like its not doing much.

Yes, the rear clamp is very necessary. On some custom shortened Mo-Rods (I've had orders for some as short as 3 inches), we've gone with just one clamp, but for a full length Mo-Rod, the two clamps really provide the greatest amount of support for this accessory. Without two, it would likely come loose, even with that third anchor point at the gas block.

Your welcome, I wanted other folks to see how the Mo-Rod looked since I was so pleased with it myself!

Yes, I have clamps to fit the Mini-30 barrel also. Same price as all other Mo-Rods...$88.
