Hi all,

I was looking at two older Remington 1100s today and noticed a difference between the two.

One was marked "SKEET-B" on the receiver, and the other was not. Also the "SKEET-B" had a lower serial number.

Does anyone know why the different markings,and when the "SKEET-B" may have been produced?

I think it's a special purpos skeet gun.I have a 1187 that's marked bird master.It actions faster and has a better buffer.

the B series 1100's were target guns. they normally had better wood & vent ribs with a mid rib bead & a white bead on the end. i had an 1100 TB i shot trap with for years & it like all 1100's was a great shotgun. the skeet B should be the nicer of the two but you can buy any barrel you want for them as they are a breeze to swap.
