I recently found a High Standard Flite King 28 gauge shotgun in a gun store. It has a vent rib and skeet barrel and it seems reasonable at $275. A 28 gauge would be nice for backyard skeet shooting for new shooters, women and kids. Does anyone have experience with these or know how old they are? According to the Numrich parts book the shotgun was also made as a J.C. Higgins-Point Right, Ted Williams M-21 and as various Sears Models. Any help/info regarding quality and function would be appreciated.

Hi, I heard they were made from 1954 to 1966. A friend of mine have one, I would like to know if its possible to use it for single shots putting .22 lr bullets straight on the barrell (as the magazine is made for only .22 short bullets). Thanks for any help....

The High Standard Flite King is a good quaility shotgun and should last a very long time with normal use. The price you quoted for a 28 gauge gun with a rib is very fair if it is in good condition. If you don't buy it let me know where it is and I will contact the store. I wouldn't mind having a 28 ga. for skeet. I'm a FFL dealer and have had these guns in 12 ga.
