Anybody else have a 5906?

Recently traded for a S+W 5906. It's an old law enforcement gun, and it's in good shape. I haven't yet shot it. Anybody have any experience with this model?

I have one and like it. Shoots well, have had no issues with it.
I like the third generation S&W semi autos. Also have a 1006, 4006 and a 4506.

I also have a 3913 in 9mm. My wife inherited it with my acquisition of the 5906. The 5906 feels better in my hand; the other one is kinda small.

I have the arched grip on mine, they also make a straight grip. You may want to find a different grip than the one you have, just to see which fits you best. If you like what you have, and it shoots good, then just stick with what you have.

Within the past 6 months have acquired 2 5906s, a 469, a 915, and a 908. All shoot great, feel great, and have had 0 issues. Wish I had discovered the S&W semi-autos earlier.

I picked up a Model 915 and loved it. I am on the lookout for a 5906 next chance I get. Great pistol and very accurate.

Finally shot it yesterday. 7 yards. Put 40 rounds through it. It groups pretty good, but shoots low right. Shot offhand, two hand hold. Kind of a modified Weaver position. Could drift the rear sight. The sight isn't adjustable per se. What's the standard procedure for this?

I carry a 4006TSW tactical at work and its a tank of a gun in a world of plastic guns. It can easily crush skulls when the ammo runs out!!!

I read sometime back one gun writer state that the squared trigger gaurd was desired on the earlier 3rd gen as a finger rest and a skull buster when needed.
