Recently traded for a S+W 5906. It's an old law enforcement gun, and it's in good shape. I haven't yet shot it. Anybody have any experience with this model?
I have the arched grip on mine, they also make a straight grip. You may want to find a different grip than the one you have, just to see which fits you best. If you like what you have, and it shoots good, then just stick with what you have.
Within the past 6 months have acquired 2 5906s, a 469, a 915, and a 908. All shoot great, feel great, and have had 0 issues. Wish I had discovered the S&W semi-autos earlier.
Finally shot it yesterday. 7 yards. Put 40 rounds through it. It groups pretty good, but shoots low right. Shot offhand, two hand hold. Kind of a modified Weaver position. Could drift the rear sight. The sight isn't adjustable per se. What's the standard procedure for this?
I read sometime back one gun writer state that the squared trigger gaurd was desired on the earlier 3rd gen as a finger rest and a skull buster when needed.
