Has anyone tried Truglo's TFO sights?

What interested me about these sights is the fact that they combine fiber optic and tritium, to improve the visibility in both daytime AND night. But I'm curious whether that actually works, or it just sounds good on paper. Do the sights really show up great in all conditions? Do they last a long time, or do they wear out quickly?

I have them and love them! I have also installed about 30 sets of them in the last 6 months when folks see mine. The sights glow day and night, indoors and out. Well worth the money.

Do you know how long they last before the glow in the vials starts to fade? And when it does, do you have to replace the whole sight, or can you just replace the vials?

Tritium has a shelf life of about 10 years, less if abused. Once broken or faded the whole sight is replaced as tritium is a radioactive gas.

How are these sights on a carry gun? Are they durable enough? Considering their size do they snag? I currently favor XS Big Dots, but these look more visable.

Like GunDoc I install a ton of these, 80 % are LEO's, and they stand up to the abuse of duty work, I have had a couple come back with the front fibre rod missing, but that has been a couple of years back, if there had been an issue it is resolved...I personally put these on all of my guns, even got a set for my AR....well worth the extra money..as far as shelf life 7 to 10 years depending, and yes you do have to replace the whole sight.

forgot to add never have heard or had any snagging issues and they are more streamlined than the XS, they do look weird on glock compensated guns but they still work.

I have them on my Glock 30. Just had them for a few months.

To me, they are great in the day and at night. The fiber optic is shrouded so there are no snagging issues. As for longevity, as me in 10-12 years. In theory, they should last at least that long.
