I am down to 3 choices for my 30.06 Remington 700. Gun will be for white tail from 50-100 yards, antelope at longer ranges and Elk in Wyoming. I also want it for S.H.T.F long range.

My choices are down to:
1. Burris Eliminator Laser Rifle Scope 3.5-10x40mm Rangefinding Scope.
2. Leupold VXR 3-9X50 Ballistic Red Dot
3. Trijicon AccuPoint 2.5-10x56 30mm Red Triangle

Anyone with experience that can give help would be appreciated. Please no other scope choices, it will be one of these 3, thanks.

I'm partial to Nikon and Vortex, and I also like a lower powered scope too for the ranges stated, so I guess I'm disqualified too...

P.S. I really do love my 2-7x32 Vortex Viper I have. Except for snap shots hunting brush where I might practically step on a whitetail, I think it's about perfect otherwise for any practical shooting I'm doing.

I guess for this particular choice I would flip a coin between the Leupold and the Trijicon. Then I would sell it and buy the cheaper scope from Vortex and spend the rest on ammo and beer. ;-)

No seriously, I've heard the Trijicon is pretty good in low-light / night hunting for hogs. But it doesn't sound like you'll be doing any of that, right? Leupold any more I think you are buying a lot of name brand and a lifetime warranty. They still make good glass, but there are better ones out there. Have you checked SWFA's forum? There are some real OCD Types there who take this subject VERY seriously. I think there is guy with the moniker "koshkin" who reviews just about every scope, and in ways you haven't thought of.

EDIT: I've posted Vader as his name, but it's actually Ilya Koshkin. He just uses a Vader costume as his avatar.

I also found his blog site: http://opticsthoughts.com/index.php
