Are the newly manufactured Grand Slam & Classic variable scopes from Weaver any good? I want a 2-10 or 3-10 or maybe a 4-12 for occasional mounting on my AR 15 & for use in accuracy testing of loads when I need to. I was going to buy a Bushnell 3200, but if the Weaver's are good I'd be tempted to go with them. Who owns the company now? Is customer service good? Thanks for any advice.
I recently mounted a new Weaver 2-10x38 Classic V on my Winchester Model 70 and I'm very pleased with it. The scope says "made in Japan" so it's probably still produced by Light Optical Works.
I've got one of Weavers Classic V24 6-24x42 scope on My Remington R-15 and I'm really very satisfied with it. It's crystal clear and bright even at maximum magnification. I was deciding between the Weaver and a Bushnell 4200 and I'm not disappointed with the choice of the Weaver.
