Greetings, I have a new model Stainless Ranch Rifle. I mounted a scope and found the rings bite into the scope body. A gunsmith told me that a lot of Ruger rings needed to be lapped before they fit properly. Is this true? Has anyone heard of this? Thanks
All rings should be lapped for fitting a scope evenly in my opinion. You don't want to stress the tube.
