I own several versions of "good" scopes which include Leopold, Swarovski, Zeiss. All are one inch jobs and seem to be equally effecient. The 30 mms cost much more. Are they worth the extra dough? Thanks in advance
In a word, yes. The larger tube allows more light to pass through, creating a brighter sight picture. They usually have a greater dia. exit pupil, as well.

While not as important to some, the 30mm's also have a greater adjustment range. Makes a difference when your target is in the next time zone.
