*For sale: Box of 500 Silver Bear .223, 62gr, HP in boxes of 20*

I bought this ammo about 6 weeks ago for my Ranch rifle(Mini 14), after doing some research about a year ago into Russian ammo. I was told to avoid the lacquer coated ammo, and that 'some' Russian ammo was dirty firing. I didnt need to buy any ammo for a long time though, because I still had about 450 rounds of Federal and UMC 55gr left over.

But then I read good reviews about the Silver Bear ammo, such as it fires cleaner(supposedly) than other brands, and it is zinc plated and not lacquer coated.

So, I went and bought 500 rounds for $117 + $16 shipping back in late October. But once I got it in, I went online and read some more reviews, where I discovered that the Silver Bear uses Berdan primers, and many people have said that Ruger Mini 14's and Ranch rifles dont handle Berdan primers very well, and I should only buy ammo with Boxer primers.

So, I came here after reading this and posting a thread here on 11-7-11 asking about this ammo, and getting different opinions on whether I should shoot it, I decided not to chance it, because apparently the Ruger Mini 14's weakest link is it's firing pin, and if it breaks, I have to send the whole rifle back to Ruger and pay over $100 to fix it, so I'm not going to shoot 'ANY' of it.

So anyway, I only opened 1 - 20 round box, and removed 1 round to check it out, but when I carefully repackaged the boxes back into the original box, I forgot to include that 1 round I removed, and it's since been misplaced, so actually there are 499 rounds in 24 unopened boxes(and one opened box with 1 round missing, for a total of 25 boxes).......

I am asking $100 for the box of 499 rounds, plus whatever it costs to ship it, which will probably be around $16 or so...... Again, I just bought the box about 6 weeks ago, so they are new and shiny!

Once I sell these, I will be buying 500 rounds of the Tulammo 62 gr HP, because it uses Boxer primers.
