Has anyone used the Cor-Bon DPX line of ammo in their Mini 30 ? If so, any feedback would be appreciated.

I have'nt but did read a bit of it. seems it's a buck or more a pop.

Marlin 45, Thanks for the reply. You're right, it's expensive at well over a buck a pop. It looks like it's kinda hard to find too. I'm hoping to get some feedback on how well it performs in the Mini 30, along with any field results. It certainly wasn't developed to punch holes in paper.

I havent tried that particular load but I have used a lot of corbon ammo in the past and found it to be of very high quiality and performance. Does the cost per a shot in this load justify the added cost, I doubt it. If your putting it through a CZ-527 and they are using .311 bullets, it might however result in some suprisingly tight groups! The same could be said for the Savage if they used .308 bullets typical of American manufactures. I just dont see where it would be worth the cost in a SKS or AK-47 type gun.

IIRC the slug is the Speer 150gr sp .308 dia.
I have had good results with this one in my 189 series. handloads that is.
I'm doubtful of the effectiveness of the 123gr sp ammo available on large whitetail at 150 yds unless a standing profile shot presents.

The CorBon DPX line has a 123 gr HP. Have you had any experience with it?

no I have'nt. likely this is a new one - they were makeing a 150gr sp load.
do you know what bullet is loaded?

This is the 123 gr HP. CorBon uses the Barnes X bullet. It's solid heat treated copper. Take a look at it on the CorBon website.
